Delete Multiple Posts from a Single Topic

Removing multiple posts from a topic can save a lot of hassle, especially if you want to remove a large number of posts out of the public view immediately. Before we begin, you will first need to create an archive to hold these posts in.

Once your archive forum is set up we can begin to remove multiple posts from any single topic. Navigate to the topic in need of having posts removed. From the moderator options drown down menu, select the Split Topic option.

After selecting the split topic option from the moderation menu you will need to specify a new topic name for the posts that are to be split. Name your new topic and then select your archive forum from the Forum for new topic drop down menu. Using the check boxes for each post, select the ones you'd like to remove and then hit the Split Selected Posts button at the bottom of your screen.

There are two methods for removing the “Moved: Topic” links from your forum.

Log into the Mod CP and navigate to the forum in need of manual pruning. Find any “Moved: Topic” links you can see and click the check boxes for them located to the right of your screen. When you are finished, make your way to the bottom of the screen where you'll find the With selected topics: drop down menu. Select the Delete Topics option and then select Go!

Mass Delete

To remove all of the “Moved: Topic” links in one strike you must first log into the Mod CP. Next to the forum that the “Moved: Topic” links are in, select the radio check box to the right of your screen. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and locate the With selected forum: drop down menu. Select the Mass Move/Prune Topics option and hit Go! The following web form has only 1 option in need of changing. Using the (Re)move which type of topic? drop down menu, select Move linked topics only. Proceed with these settings and your moved topic links will be removed.
