Domain Setup: 123-Reg.co.uk
Warning: This tutorial assumes that you have left the default nameservers set to 123-reg.co.uk's. If you have changed the nameservers to your web host's, you will need to make these changes there. Try our WHM tutorial.
- Log in to your 123-Reg.co.uk account control panel and select the domain you want to edit in the drop down menu. Click Manage Domain
- Click Manage DNS
- Now you can add your CNAME and A records.
- Add your A record first. Enter the symbol @ as the Name. Select A as the Type of record. Add the IP Address of the server your board is located on in the Content box. For a list of IP addresses go here.
- Next add a CNAME record. Enter www as the Name. Select CNAME as the Type of record. Add s#.zetaboards.com. or s#.invisionfree.com. in the content box. Replace the # with your server number and choose the URL for the service your board is hosted on. Make sure to include the period at the end of the .com.
- Finally, add another CNAME record. Make sure this is the last record you add (ie. don't put it ahead of the other two) Enter * as the Name. Select CNAME as the Type of record. dd s#.zetaboards.com. or s#.invisionfree.com. in the content box. Replace the # with your server number and choose the URL for the service your board is hosted on. Make sure to include the period at the end of the .com.
- Wait up to 24 hours for 123-Reg.co.uk to update the DNS settings for your domain, and then add it to the Domain Manager in your ACP as the primary domain.
