Staff Security Portal

This documentation applies to ZetaBoards only.

The Staff Security Portal in the Users & Groups section of the Admin CP displays the password quality score for administrators and global moderators on the board as well as their last visit.

A password quality score between 0 and 2 is undesirable. It means the user's password is very vulnerable to being cracked, either through educated guesses by an attack or a more sophisticated, machine-driven process.

A password quality score between 3 and 4 is desirable. It means the user's password is more difficult to guess.

The passwords of staff accounts, and the passwords of their associated email accounts, are one of the points of vulnerability in the security of any board. It is imperative that you and your staff use strong passwords.

If a staff member's last visit is in the distant past, it may be wise to demote that staff member until their return to ensure your board's security.

Any member can view the password quality score for their account in the Advanced Account Security under the Preferences page.
