Website Maker

This documentation applies to ZetaBoards only.

The Website Maker allows the forum administrator to use the forum as a launching pad for a website hosted by ZetaBoards. It can be accessed by clicking Website Maker under the Board Customization heading in the Administrator Control Panel.

Creating a Page

To create a new page, click the Create New Webpage link in the Webpage Manager. On the next page, fill out the form accordingly.

  • Page ID This is the access key for the new page. It should be something memorable and something that won't need to be changed often or at all. It must consist of letters, numbers or underscores. Again, it must be stressed that you pick a memorable name, so users can easily remember it later.
  • Page Title This is the title displayed in the Browser's title bar. The Page ID should be related to the Page Title if possible.
  • Page Content The content of the new page goes here. Remember that ZetaBoards integrates the page with the forum skin, so you needn't worry about a page header or footer. The only concern here is the content. HTML is allowed.
  • Link to This Page in the Board Menu? Selecting yes will add a navigation link to the new page in the Board Menu alongside the Search, Members and Portal links, among others.


You may be wondering what you can use this new feature for, right? Well it really depends on your community. If you have information that your community needs to refer to often, a webpage might be a good place to list the info. If you have custom features that you'd like to add to your community, you can use a webpage as the place to reach those features. It all depends on what your community is about.
