Security Settings

This documentation applies to ZetaBoards only.

Security Security settings help protect the security and privacy of your board and members. If the options are toggled to no, that particular setting will be disallowed. If set to yes, the setting will be allowed.

Settings

  • Require users register before viewing the board toggles whether or not users will be required to register an account and be logged in before seeing the board.
  • Allow guests that have a banned IP Address to register with admin approval toggles whether or not an admin must approve the registration of any IP Banned user. This allows for stronger IP Bans that do not harm innocent users.
  • Allow images to be posted allows whether or not users will be allowed to post images.
Posted images could be offensive
  • Allow flash movies in avatars and posts toggles whether or not users will be allowed to use flash movies in posts and in avatars.
  • Allow posts to be reported to staff toggles whether or not users will be allowed to report posts to staff members.
  • Allow PMs to be reported staff toggles whether or not users will be allowed to report personal messages to staff members.
  • Prevent a user from posting more often than every x seconds: is the number of seconds a user must wait in between two posts.
The minimum value is 5 seconds.
  • Allow users to view the complete users online list toggles whether or not users will be allowed to view the complete users online list.
  • Allow anonymous logins toggles whether or not users will be allowed to log in anonymously.
