BBCode Settings

This documentation applies to ZetaBoards only.

The following settings are used for BBCode formatting, a safe and easy-to-use alternative to HTML. The following documentation outlines the options and their descriptions on the BBCode settings page.

Basic Settings

The following settings can be found by navigating to Board Customization - Preferences, and choosing the BBCode box:

  • Allow BBCode in poll choices sets whether or not BBCode is allowed in poll choices.
  • Allow BBCode in member titles determines if BBCode is allowed in member titles.
  • Allow BBCode in signatures toggles the privilege of allowing BBCode in signatures.
  • Allow BBCode in PMs sets whether or not BBCode is allowed in personal messages.
  • Limit quoting to one level restricts multi-level quoting, which occurs when quote tags are embedded inside of other quote tags. If enabled, the number specified is the allowed number of quotes for multi-level quoting. Adjust the image slider accordingly to choose a number between 0 and 10.
To disable multi-level quoting, select 0 using the image slider.

BBCode Setup Settings

This section allows administrators to disable certain BBCodes across an entire board.

If a specific BBCode is disabled, only posts created or edited after the change are affected.

To enable BBCode for use, tick the appropriate input field under the Enabled heading. Likewise, to disable BBCode for use, simply un-tick the appropriate field.
