Emoticon Manager
This documentation applies to ZetaBoards only.
This page is used to view, manage and add emoticons, and can be accessed by clicking Emoticons under the Board Customization section of the Admin CP.
Adding Emoticons
The first section of the page allows emoticons to be added. An emoticon image must be uploaded before this page is visible. This is done via the Image Upload section near the top of the page. A form will then be presented containing the following options:
- Emoticon Text. This is what must be typed by the member in order for an emoticon to display.
- Result. This is the emoticon or image that will display when the emoticon text is typed by a member. Only images which have been uploaded will appear in the drop-down menu for selection.
- List on posting pages?. If set to
Yes, the emoticon will appear in the emoticon list when posting a reply to a topic.
After clicking Create Emoticon, the emoticon will be added to the list.
Viewing Emoticons
The latter section of this page is a list of the current emoticons on the board presented in a tabular format. The headings are as follows:
- Emoticon Text. This is what must be typed by the member in order for an emoticon to display.
- Result. This is the emoticon or image that will display when the emoticon text is typed by a member.
- List on posting pages?. If set to
Yes, the emoticon will appear in the emoticon list when posting a reply to a topic. - Edit. Clicking Edit will allow you to edit the details of the emoticon.
- Delete. Clicking Delete will permanently remove the emoticon from the list.
Note: Deleting an emoticon from the list will not delete the image itself. This must be done manually.
